Cristina Kirchner Criticizes President Milei on Budget Issue

Cristina Kirchner gathered the national PJ and decided to convene a political table with all her allies. She criticized that the Budget was not addressed in Congress and expressed her disapproval of Milei for the LIBRA gate, stating: “You are falling apart…”.

Regarding the K deputies, they have not yet made a definitive decision. A source from the party indicated that they need to discuss it in the bloc and justified the lack of coordination because the senators were in CABA for preparatory work. Mayans, head of the Peronist interblock in the Senate, made a call to President Milei to give instructions on the treatment of the Budget in the Chamber of Deputies and pointed directly at him.

President Milei is expected to deliver his opening speech for the ordinary sessions of Congress next Saturday in the evening, explaining that he does so because of the way the president treats the opposition legislators, whom, according to Mayans, “he treats very badly” and “lies.” These statements were made upon entering a meeting of the Justicialist Party (PJ) led by Cristina Kirchner at the Matheu headquarters in the Argentine capital.

Last year, Milei also chose that time of day to address the citizenry and political representatives. The Argentine News Agency (NA) reported that the presidential message is scheduled for 9 PM and will be broadcast nationwide. The presidential spokespersons did not confirm the timing definitively to the media.

José Mayans confirmed that the Peronist legislators will not attend the Legislative Assembly called for next March 1, stating that they disagree with the non-constitution of the Investigative Commission of the case known as 'cryptogate.'
